Author and former newspaper columnist Judith Fabris is the author of
Money . . . Cool! A guide that helps children explore the
world of finance. The book covers the stock market, growing a
business and saving for college, plus other cool topics.
Fabris, a former account executive at Charles Schwab was one
of the first women stockbrokers in the United States. Her
experience as a Law Review Editor led to a fellowship with the
California State Senate. She was chosen for the first Glamour
Magazine Jobstyle Achievement Award. She co-authored two books
on finance and her newspaper column was distributed nationally.
Money. . .Cool! is her first book for children. Fabris is
available for interviews and her book signings.
The
last five years before Judy retired her company sent her to various
school districts where she taught about the stock market as an
adjunct to math classes or to immigrants learning about aspects of
American life. She also
has given seminars at national conventions for the International
Association of Financial Planners.
She designed finance
seminars for women before it was a popular concept.
Judy loves teaching children and young people.
She believes everyone should be educated in the aspects of
finance and the sooner the better.
With the urging of several individuals in education, as well
as the financial world, Judy Fabris wrote “Money…Cool!”.
It is a plain speaking book.
It is not a scheme for someone to find out how to get rich
quick. It is a resource
book for anyone who would like to teach a child or young person
about the field of finance, in the easiest layman’s terms
possible. Plus, there
is an extensive glossary included, also in easy to understand
language. |
